HELLO THERE
Jordan Cowan is a technician, intimacy specialist, actress and improvisor who graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a BA with two concentrations: Theatre Performance & Design/Tech. She is currently studying with the likes of Chelsea Pace (Open: Intimacy Creatives), Laura Rikard (Theatrical Intimacy Education), and many different intimacy specialists to pursue her passion in Intimacy Consultation and Choreography.
During her time at WCSU, she studied various forms of theatrical performance and styles with industry professionals such as Heather Patterson King, Chris Bolan, Michael Bartoli, Corey Sorenson, and Neal Lerner. She also had the opportunity to work with members of the Upright Citizen's Brigade while studying improv comedy.
Though her journey started on the stage, it has expanded to behind and beyond the stage. Since graduating, Jordan has had the distinct pleasure of working with the creative teams at Hartford Stage, Long Wharf Theatre, and the Goodspeed Opera House. She has also continued her practices at the Sharon Playhouse and ACT of Connecticut as a stage manager and scenic painter. While teaching educational theatre with InnerAct Theatre LLC, Jordan continued her performance path with the New York Renaissance Faire for their 2021 season.
Eager to continue learning, Jordan has studied with multiple intimacy education programs to expand her knowledge on consent based culture and practices. Jordan is looking forward to connecting with performers and technicians alike to create brave spaces and new, exciting works!
